“Finding Peace Underwater”: Here’s my Diving Story with BOD 🤿
Pre-Dive Experience: “Why Scuba
9 Feb 2020Do you want to get to the next level after your PADI Open Water Diver Course? Now is your chance! In this PADI AOW (Advanced Open Water) course, you’ll learn more about diving which will allow you to safely explore more of the underwater world. If you’re not an advanced diver, not to worry. This training is designed to advance your diving. You can start your PADI AOW course right after you’ve earned your PADI Open Water Diver certification!
Why choose us?
• We teach 9am – 9pm every day, including weekends and public holidays
• We provide custom scheduled classes for your convenience
• Learn at your own pace. You can complete your training within months or less than a week, if you choose to do so
• We have dive trips every weekend! Choose a weekend that works best for you and let’s get certified!
• We have fun and exciting dive trips year round, with both domestic and international trips!
You'll start with a 2-3 hour session at our dive shop or through an online Zoom class.
You will dive into five subjects; Deep and Navigation are core subjects then three others that your instructor will discuss with you.
The next step - and the most fun - Will be your 5 open water dives as a PADI AOW diver - where u get to explore the underwater world below 18m/60ft! (this is the number of dives required to complete the course and gain your certification)
There are 3 theory sessions (1 1/2 hours each) and 3 confined pool training sessions (3 hours each) that you will need to complete before sitting for your online exam.
There is not, but we advise you to complete your online exam as soon as you can while your memory is still fresh.
Unfortunately you can’t, for safety reasons you will need to complete the Open Water Course before proceeding with your Advanced Open Water Course.
Yes it is possible to complete your Theory and pool sessions within 3 days – but we highly advise not to. Unless you are able to catch up and learn fast.
It is not advisable to complete all your pool sessions in a day as each pool session is around 2 – 3 hours. Plus, it’ll be best for you to take a short break, work on what you’ve learnt, then only proceed to the next session. Taking it 1 step at a time is always better than doing it all at once.
Yes definitely! Did I mention that we teach every day, from 9am to 9pm? Meaning, no matter what your schedule is like, we will definitely find a time that works for you.
Sure, our instructor also conducts zoom classes for theory sessions but for the confined pool training, it has to be done at the pool with an instructor.
Yes you can and you will!
Yes you do! You will get a PADI Open Water Certificate!
Trips are not included in the course fee as we want to give our students the ability to take their time and complete their training, before heading to the trip of their choice to complete their certification dive.
Basic swimming will help, as you will be able to pick up the skills quicker. But your confident level of being in the water is most important. We do offer a 1 hour basic swim assessment where we will assess your level of confidence and swimming skills before taking up your scuba diving course.
